First grade is all about reading, writing and gaining confidence as a student. Building students up because of their strengths and helping them persevere through their struggles. First grade students learn the Rosary and pray it everyday. One of the highlights of the year is when they make their own rosaries!

I love first graders because of their excitement to learn and their willingness to make mistakes and grow from them. It’s such an honor to see them grow from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. My favorite part about teaching first grade is showing students how to love learning and to become life long learners.

I love the curiosity and enthusiasm of my first graders! They are excited to learn and love coming to school each day. It is fun to see how much they progress and mature throughout the school year.
