The term SCRIP has historically been used as an alternate name for gift card fundraising since SCRIP refers to an alternate form of currency.

RaiseRight is fundraising the right way! You fundraise while you shop. Here’s how it works: you will buy a RaiseRight gift card through our school’s RaiseRight scrip program. You will pay the full face value, but our school will earn an immediate rebate percentage (typically between 2% and 16% depending on the retailer). Our school will share 75% of that rebate with you in the form of a tuition reduction the following school year. You use that gift card on your normal purchases. You're not spending extra money, and there’s no selling involved— it’s just earning!

How It Works
Let’s say I shop at Cub Foods. I want to save money on next year’s tuition, so I e-mail my RaiseRight committee ([email protected]) and ask for the enrollment code. They will request a completed Participation Agreement. Once I submit it, I can ask for the enrollment code. With that, I can hop online at http://raiseright.com and set up my account. I can place my order at any time. The orders will process on the dates according to our RaiseRight calendar. My gift cards will be sent home with my child the following week. If I prefer, I can pick the cards up at the school office. Once I have my card, purchased through RaiseRight, I can add funds to it at any time. Let’s say I’m running to Cub Foods, and realize my funds are low. Using my smartphone, I log onto http://raiseright.com and add funds to my existing card via “ReloadNow”. Note that I can only purchase on-the-fly like this if I pay via PrestoPay (RaiseRight's online payment). This is the best way to save you money! 

Other vendors, like Old Navy, for example, also offer RaiseRight e-cards. If I am at the mall and know about how much money I am spending, I will hop on my smartphone and order a RaiseRight e-gift card. I must pay with PrestoPay. My gift card will be delivered to my e-mail and I can present it to the cashier by showing them my phone! Yes! It is that easy!
Note – Please order carefully! Once an order has been placed, it cannot be “returned”. If you order a plastic card but prefer e-card, or vice-versa Great Lakes RaiseRight cannot honor a card-type change nor a brand change. Likewise, SVDP is not responsible for mis-orders.
