Meetings are typically held the second Tuesday of each month during the school year, or as needed. If you have something you would like to put on the agenda, or would like to attend, please contact a member of our committee.

What is SAC?
The School Advisory Council (SAC) is made up of parents who applied for, and were chosen for, a role on the SAC. Council members hold a 3-year term* with the option of staying for a second term, for a maximum of 6 years. The goal is to have a Council made up of members with diverse professional backgrounds and good communication skills who represent many grade levels within the school. School and Parish administration are also represented to bridge the gap with communication between parents, school, and the parish. The Council's primary role is to advise the principal and help form conversation around decisions made for the school.
What does the SAC do?- Work with the principal and community to develop a vision for the school.
- Advocate on behalf of students and promote the benefits of Catholic education.
- Support and advise the principal by engaging in discussions about decisions needing to be made by administration.
- Provide for the periodic review of policies and handbooks.
- Ensure council members understand that the School Advisory Council does not act as a board and that council members have no independent authority.
When are SAC meetings held?
Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7pm. Meeting minutes are published on the school website after the meeting.
What are SAC responsibilities?- Create/update/maintain School Handbook
- Listen to and provide council on grievances brought to the SAC by students and parents**
- Provide feedback and guidance to school administration on areas of education and policy change
- Participate in conversations around school budget and financial decisions by asking questions and helping to move decisions forward
- Be present and help promote school fundraisers and volunteer at school events
*Due to COVID some terms have been extended.
