The philosophy for the teaching of computer science is to teach a variety of computer skills across a range of subjects, in a safe and responsible manner. By gaining understanding of the basic operations of a computer, the use of computers as a productivity tool, to more advanced concepts of how computer hardware and software works, the students become responsible users of technology with skills that are current, challenging, fun and relevant to their coursework and future studies in education and beyond.

I’m thrilled to be the media specialist here at
St. Vincent de Paul; it allows me to teach students about the magnitude of media and how it relates to the world around them. I hope to inspire students to become eager lifelong readers and independent media users so that they come to nurture a love of books, reading, information, and technology that is uniquely theirs, cultivated by their own personal interests, curiosity,
and talents.
